I am never going to give you up, let you down, run around and desert you, make you cry, say goodbye or tell a lie and hurt you. Except when it comes to rickrolling

WHAT IS A ZINE?
A zine is a collaborative project where artists and writers work together to create pieces centered around the same theme - in our case, that's the Film Gold!WHAT DO I HAVE TO DO TO PARTICIPATE?
Submit an application! Contributor Apps will run from July 1st to August 2nd 2025. All you'll need will be some samples. You'll be able to get specific instructions on the app form (find it on our soc meds when the time comes!) but generally: show us what you'd consider your best, most relevant works!DO I HAVE TO BE 18?
Yes! Due to the results of our Interest Check. We will ask you to be +18 to apply to this projectIS THERE GOING TO BE PHYSICAL BOOK/MERCH?
No. This zine is fully digital and all the merch will be digital as well.CAN I DO WHATEVER I WANT?
Upon acceptance to the zine, you will be asked to provide three pitches — that is, ideas for what you'd like to draw or write about, depending on your role (artist, writer or merch artist). The mods will then select one of your pitches, optimized to make sure that half the zine won't end up being about the same popular character or the Strawhats. The exact details of the pitching process will be available in the server!CAN I USE A CHARACTER WHO DOESN'T SHOW UP IN THE MOVIE?
There will be a Mystery Mini-project that'll allow for the inclusion of such characters, but it will be an additional thing; Your main piece has to center characters who actually showed up in Film Gold, and we will endeavour to showcase all of them: main characters, villains and secondaries. We will provide a characters list to make this easier!

The following guidelines are for artists and writers interested in joining the project. Please, be sure to read through them carefully before applying to ensure that you're following the requirements for each application.
REQUIREMENTS
Must be at least 18 years of age to apply.
Any Google links you share must have viewing permissions set correctly, or we cannot see them!
Either have Discord or be willing to create an account, since this will be the primary method of communicating.
Carefully read through the Artist/Writer guidelines when applying. Keep in mind the word count and required quality for submissions, as straying from these could affect your application.
Please try to keep your application as anonymous as possible. We want to give everyone a fair chance.
NSFW samples are accepted and encouraged, but please make sure they are properly labeled as such when submitted.
AI is prohibited. Any portfolio found to include AI will be immediately tossed out. Any contributors found to be using AI generation will be asked to leave the project.
Have fun! This is a fan project and we would love to come together and spread the love for the best One Piece movie in the world!
Artist, Spot Artist and Merch Artist
All general guidelines still apply.
3-5 high-quality samples of your work, not all of them have to be One Piece related, if at all. Samples will give us a quick look at what you consider to be your best work and can be included in your portfolio.
At least 1 of your samples must have a background. Having more is encouraged.
Your portfolio should include as much of what you would deem your best work for our moderators to see! We want to see your use of color theory, anatomy, composition, light, shading, and backgrounds (if applicable).
You may submit traditional art just as long as it is a high-quality scan, so we can see your hard work.
Artists, if their work is accepted, will need to create either a full-page illustration or a two-page spread with backgrounds. There will also be a chance to make a comic spread instead. Additionally, the option to create smaller Spot Illustrations for one of the writers’ stories will be considered extra pieces, unless otherwise agreed upon.
Writer
All general guidelines still apply.
3-5 high-quality samples of your writing. Not all of them have to be One Piece related, if at all. Samples will give us a quick look at what you consider to be your best work and can be included in your portfolio.
All samples must be between 500 to 1,500 words.
Samples can be excerpts from fully finished or in-progress stories.
Your portfolio should include as much of what you would deem your best work for our moderators to see! You may link your A03 as a portfolio, but we would prefer to see your samples in Google Drive to keep it as anonymous as possible
Moderators will look at your grammar, spelling, interactions between characters, flow, and how well you portray the subject matter.
If accepted, Writers will be required to complete at least one story between 1.5k-3k. The option to create a second story will be offered upon completion of the first.
